This older white selection from France is extremely widely planted in cool climate areas and is a mainstay of many wineries. Hardy to about -15F or maybe a bit better, with an upright growth habit. Vines can be very productive and ripen their crop early to mid season. A diverse range of wines are made from Seyval Blanc, from dry steel fermented with notable citrus and stone fruit aromas to oak fermented and buttery whites with more body.
